I agree 100% with the article and your comments about the article. But I'm not sure even if the king was to remove Harry from the line of succession and as a councillor of State, will do the trick. The issue here is that even if you were to go as far as removing Harry's title, he is still the son of the King. Being the son of the king, means that they will still be pressed attention whatever he does or wherever he goes, and he was still be able to trade on his royal connections.
