The story might be believable if Meghan and Harry didn't insist that they be introduced as HRH's and referred to "Sir" and "Madam" with curtsies in Australia. In addition, getting the Met Police protection they wanted in Australia along with the police/security car parade.
I doubt Meghan got upset of the introduction including Duchess of Sussex, she's always made sure that's always included from the time she had a ring on the finger.
As for Harry, "I didn't want to be a working Royal. I had to get out." Sure.....so why are you going through lawsuit after lawsuit to get your taxpayer funded security back plus IPP Status, Harry?
