You make rational points. Neither Harry nor Meghan are rational, however. Harry believes his wife and children are targets and he must do everything possible to protect them, even if it means cutting ties with his family. That suits Meghan just fine, as isolation helps keep him under her control. And she needs that control more than ever now because he's still a source of (dwindling) money, and she loves money almost as much as she loves herself.
