I am posting the link for this video because the discussion is very relevant to all that is besetting the royals these days.

Norman Baker supports monarchy.

At the very end he is asked if he can think of any gift from the royals to the public, since Edward VII gave Osborne House and land. He could not. I thought that King Charles gave away some windfall profits from coastal windfarms, if I recall at all correctly.
Anyway I post this video because it shines a light on things that do need to be considered.
