When the horror of the Bondi Beach attacks occurred, the King and Prince of Wales immediately sent messages of condolence and condemned the terrorists. I think the Queen and the Princess of Wales were included, I'm writing off the top of my head right now.
Did Harry and Meghan send any messages? No. Now they're the great humanitarians.
I don't think the Palace has had anything to do with this farce. Royals speak at the various venues for causes, however, they don't get paid and they don't repeatedly rehash the same stories about themselves dating back 10 years.
One columnist writing in a gushing article stated that PR "experts" estimate that the "couple could bring in an easy 10 million with this visit." Members of the Royal Family go on tours/visits on behalf of the UK Govt. and if they make private visits, they don't make visits to grift/beg for money for themselves.
I don't where the 10 million would come from? Both the retreat and the mental health deal suffered from lack of ticket sales/interest. The venue where Harry was featured had to slash ticket prices in an effort to get people to attend. Meghan only received 130,000 pounds for the retreat, that's nothing, it's already been spent, I'm sure.
It will be interesting in the next few weeks when stories emerge that the visit wasn't the success their PR and the media have touted. In addition, where were the crowds of Australians cheering and waiting breathlessly to get a glimpse of the Sussexes? None, Zero.
