I got a major heebie-jeebie from that exchange. The princesses would have been in their 20's at the time, so not in the right age range for that purpose. Probably lunch and a photo op so the "friends" could show their proximity to royalty to their friends. Maybe impress a daughter or niece with a photo of them with a real princess. (shudder)
