If Fergie had been given an accommodation with/near Andrew, there would be the possibility/certainty of yet another one of her hare-brained money making schemes or another scandal involving money coming from an unsavory source causing yet more embarrassment. Andrew is now financially dependent on Charles, and that will be a tight leash. I'm sure that family will congregate at Christmas, since the rest of the family will also be at Sandringham, but I really don't think Fergie will be allowed more than a visit.

I can imagine Jack and Edo conferring on laying down some firm boundaries regarding their mother-in-law.
