Charles issued a statement that Andrew's royal title is gone, and he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. Also that he WILL be leaving Royal Lodge!

Clarification coming?

I have to wonder about the entire text of the Letters Patent. Did it strip just Andrew of his royal title or will it apply to any royal family member who has disgraced the monarchy? And how far would that royal have to go for their words/actions to be considered enough of a disgrace that the boxes are checked and the revocation is in motion?

Yes, but I'm wondering about the exact wording of the Letters Patent not just the statement for the media. The devil is in the details.

A Letters Patent hasn't been created or issued yet. That is part of the Formal Process that has been started (begun) and is currently on going. But, it's been made clear by the Statement that Andrew is now simply to be known as Mr Andrew Mountbatten-Windor.

I watched the Dan Wooton Video and he read through the Briefing that was handed to the various media outlets along with the Palace Statement. The Briefing included a 'Question and Answer' Section where the Palace anticipated possible Questions by the media and gave answers. One question was about where Mr Mountbatten-Windsor will be living once he's ousted out of Royal Lodge. The answer given was Andrew will move to a property on Sandringham estate and any future accommodation will be privately funded by the King. No details of the accommodation would be given as it is a Private Matter. As for Fergie, she will will have to make her own living arrangements.

It'll be interesting to see where Fergie lands. If she doesn't "sneak in" and live with Andrew, then it's going to be either of her daughters.

If Fergie had been given an accommodation with/near Andrew, there would be the possibility/certainty of yet another one of her hare-brained money making schemes or another scandal involving money coming from an unsavory source causing yet more embarrassment. Andrew is now financially dependent on Charles, and that will be a tight leash. I'm sure that family will congregate at Christmas, since the rest of the family will also be at Sandringham, but I really don't think Fergie will be allowed more than a visit.

I can imagine Jack and Edo conferring on laying down some firm boundaries regarding their mother-in-law.

The King's Statement

His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.

The formal process has begun. Andrew is not Formally stripped of his Style, Titles and Honours, yet (there is still a process to go through) but it's been made clear that from this moment on he is simply now to be know as Mr Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

I heard about this at a funeral, of all places. A friend nudged me and showed me the news on his phone.
Yep, the wheels have been set in motion and the process will soon start. The media and public have increased the pressure on the King/Royals since the Fergie/Andrew e-mails were released. The King was heckled a day or two ago over Andrew/Epstein and how much he knew. The Royal Family have been dragged into this mess and it's been putting them into question, especially the King. Charles made the decision and I'm sure he was backed by the rest of the family.
Andrew and Fergie got themselves into this out of greed, wanting the "good life with the jet set uber wealthy", and plain stupidity. I'm sure they both thought that with Epstein arrested in 2019 and then his death in prison, they were safe....they're both just that delusional. Wrong.
A couple of friends bought Virginia's book and stated that Virginia's portrayal of Andrew is very damning. Again, Andrew could be telling the truth in his denials, but, who is the public and media believing? Virginia, the woman who committed suicide.
One more thing, the media continues to point to Andrew settling with Virginia over her case against him. They seems to forget, conveniently, that a legal settlement means neither side admits to any wrong doing, ie. guilt.
