It's not really a like-with-like comparison, though. King's Day is a national holiday; Charles's second wedding was not.

King's Day is the equivalent of Trooping the Colour/the Sovereign's Birthday Parade. Would the UK cancel or reschedule that event because the date clashed with the Pope's funeral? Or the funeral of any foreign country's Head of State. I doubt it.
