Letizia actually had a veil on at some point during the service, but it was placed well back on her hair. It's visible from some angles, but not from others. Maria Teresa not wearing a veil at all seems a bit disrespectful.

I liked and admired Pope Francis. He genuinely loved people from all walks of life and he spoke out against injustice. He'll be a hard act to follow.
