There on the centre of the arch is a Monde - a globe representing the World (which is a gold-plated ping-pong ball) and was the only one. The organisers and designers of the ceremony tried to reduce costs as much as possible. The late Queen’s hat was inspired by the Tudor era French hood. Looked totally odd and I don't think she attempted that style again.
