(This is the weekly post where you share your week of food. Did you have anything that really made your week, such as your favorite soup, a lunch out, or maybe you had something new? Find a new food product? A new appliance? Please do share!)
There's not a lot to tell this week, aside from Ds making those amazing sticky buns with the dough rolled up around brown sugar, lots of cinnamon, and lots of raisins.
Please hope for meat tomorrow for me. We called the ranch, but they seemed vague IMO. Ds is taking ddil close by for an appt., and will probably stop in. So, I have to hope that A - nothing changes, that he can go. And, B - that they not only have the type of meats, (sometimes they only have super expensive cuts.) and quantity (they sometimes have very little, or that one woman limits what I can buy.) that I need to make my meals coming up. I can hardly imagine that I'm to the point where I stress over meat!
It looks like my bread, made into something like large biscuit shapes, will probably work for stuffing. Not for Thanksgiving, but I really do want to make stuffing. I've got the stuffing celery cooked and in the freezer, ready to go!
We have a lot of work coming up. I hope that Dh is up to it, since I rely on him to break down the meat, etc.
I do all of the work to prep the broccoli, cabbages, celery, greens of various types, and pretty much all veges other than sweet potatoes and carrots.
We also need broth made as a base for soups, gravies, stuffing, etc.
So much to think about, and do, but that's what my lists are for!
I've got my menus complete, my shopping list - though not Ds's - about 3/4 done, and my meat needs list made.
How was your food week?
