What is the plan to put on weight internally, as compared to otherwise?
Lol! I am only laughing about your butt because of Dh. Ds and I tell him that he has no butt anymore! He agrees. And, complains that it makes it hard to keep up pants. I'd never thought about it. He's regaining some muscle in his arms from doing things.
I'm glad that you are slowly making headway.
Yes, same for Dh. Ice cream was good for his weight, but too much sugar. He has low cholesterol, too, and cheese is a cornerstone in his diet. He eats it daily. I generally get him Tilamook Jack, Cheddar, and Colby-Jack, as he likes those, and I can usually get them in the larger blocks, for less, at Raley's in Ukiah when we do our big shopping. Sometimes, if their stock is low, or it's on sale, I'll get the 1 lb. blocks.
The other 2 things that I encourage are the gf whole grain bread, and the Sunbutter, which is excellent protein-wise, and also calorie-wise. Oh, and he eats a Safeway brand of organic corn chips every day. Calories, calories, calories.
Then there's just the matter of him eating enough per meal, and enough meals per day.
I can understand you trying to get as much without the kids' as possible. You're doing great.
Avocadoes are so good for you, full of healthy fat etc.
Dh either, with the cholesterol. I was sure, a few years ago, that his cheese, and at the time ice cream, was going to send it through the roof, but no. Unlike me.
I'm not a cold cut eater, either. I did eat a particular type of packaged ham in the 70's, and loved dry salami, but anything else packaged like that, no. Now deli meats, from the deli, that's another story.
Good ingredients to work with!
I am glad to hear that the eye stuff is free!
I think that cutting back on caffeine will be better than not. Mixing the 2 is a great idea.
Fried chicken sounds really good to me. It's been a long time. Maybe I'll make some one of these days. Have some for me! :-)
It's great that things are easing for you!
I think that there's nothing quite like a good knife. I'm glad that you love yours! :-)
Have a good food week!
