Ds uses parchment paper, mostly for baking. They have just the right sizes, already cut, to fit certain pans, including muffin tin pans. I was thinking of getting him one for his birthday, as that's the kind of thing that he appreciates, and it's only in 6 weeks-ish. I'm glad that you are enjoying using it, too! :-)
If I was looking for a veggie meal, I'd want the one that you had. It's right up my alley!
Yeah for avocadoes!
Pesto keeps well, and freezes, if I'm remembering correctly. It might be worthwhile to invest in a couple of bunches of basil, some nuts or pine nuts (pine nuts are pretty expensive, though, and go rancid very quickly. But, to have a good pesto on hand, it might be a worthwhile expense.) an a head of fresh garlic. You probably have the olive oil? Homemade is so good! And, healthy too!
I agree on LT's! Then again, I don't need an excuse to pair tomatoes with bread in any form or combination, though I definitely have preferences.
Pot pies and pizza - not bad sounding alternative meals!
The brownies sound good. I also love date-nut bread. If you do, maybe you could make some in your throw-away pans? I wonder if there's one of the mixes that you have, or could get, which would make a good base. Then, you'd just have to add in dates, or dates and nuts, and bake! Sometimes, it's the small conveniences, like using a mix, that makes things 'do-able.'
I tap the grinding button on my food processor, in very quick, short taps, when I don't want to go too far. If I just push the regular button on mine, everything becomes over-ground.
I don't use a French chef's knife, and Ds thinks that I should. But, I am steadfast. You need to know what works for you, and use that. I'm glad that everyone loves their knives!
It's strange to have trash pick-up after all that time, isn't it? I'm so thrilled that you have it! :-)
That's a good deal for trash pick-up. Mine was more, when I had it, and I'd gladly figure it out to have it again!
That's a good idea for your water container!
Good list! Do you use the fennel fronds, or root?
Have you had their chicken Kiev before?
