She left in mid Sept so it's going on 3 months.
I can't have leftovers as there is no room in either the freezer or the icebox or the fridge.
Some of the recipes I want to make are clothes pinned up so I can work from them. The thing is I a can't make them - again NO ROOM.
I want to try my hand at a Brown rice & brown lentil soup. Also I want to caramelize some onions. But no space and no storage bags. ARRRGH!!!
The foods from Schwann's come in boxes and bags I try to repack when possible. But I am now out of storage bags. ARRRGH! At lease the bags can be folded over and a rubber band keeps they rolled up. Still that doesn't make a lot of room.
I just received my last order from the Imperfect foods people. There was a tiny bit of space in the freezer basket but I had to REPACK... everything to make the few items I bought fit.
I cancelled all the rest of the orders for both food deliveries for the rest of Dec.
Breads and fruits and potatoes, onions are in bowls on my counter. I really wish I had the $ to buy a bureau with drawers for all those foods, and other stuff I have on my limited counter space.
I also have all my dry rice, pasta, etc, etc stashed in canning jars. They are in those wooden crates from Walmart and sit sideways to give me access. Again those should be on my NOT YET BOUGHT BUREAU. It will also be a separator between the kitchen & dining room. Also a place for some herbs etc.
Oh well, I hope she is back soon as I am getting frustrated not being able to make my soups to pack away for winter.
The chewy order will arrive today. I bought alot to see me through part of January. I have been stocking dry dog food and some other items. But with the well situation facing me and the taxes due in Jan... well... it's a tough couple of months till Feb. Hopefully I can do the well then.
I am late getting dressed and up to feed and walk Charlie. Then I will be doing the PAPERWORK. I am really dreading that project.
But once done... I will be able to do my Christmas cards. I have a project for that but it needs some time. Oh well.
Got to eat first... so have a good week. Be safe!
