The waffles, pancakes, etc. make a lot of sense to me, too.
It's so funny that after years of putting away and putting up my garden produce, that I'd never thought of freezing corn without shucking it, until you told me about it! Women sharing wisdom, I love it! :-)
I used to spend hot summer days shucking, de-silking, par cooking, and freezing bags of corn. We used to be exhausted at the end of the day. Your way works perfectly, and is so much easier!
Btw, I saw something on an episode of Iron Chef America the other day. The sous chef for one of the people was de-silking corn on the cob. To do so, they took a rubber band, and rolled it quickly up and down the de-husked cobs. It was pretty darned quick! I assume that size of the band matters, but I don't have details.
I actually do freeze some grapes. Not to preserve them, but because on hot days, frozen grapes are a great, cold treat! :-) And, they are a wonderful, healthy, summer treat for kids, too. Along with frozen, fresh blueberries!
I think that you should take the leap, and buy just one clothing item online, and see how it goes. Then, once it's what you want, the next month, buy another. You really do need them, and deserve to have them. It's just some every day tenny's and jeans. You can do this! Go, Paten, go! :-) (I may even have pompoms, and I will break them out if you make me!) ;-)
Really, though. You are meeting everyone elses needs, plus trying to get your projects done. Somewhere in there you need to do things for yourself, too. And, while we tend to consider every day things for ourselves as non-essential...I do the same...sometimes we just need to give in and get those items for ourselves. I may be in your boat soon. When I am, you can send these words right back at me! :-)
