(This is the weekly post where you share your week of food. Did you have anything that really made your week, such as your favorite soup, a lunch out, or maybe you had something new? Find a new food product? A new appliance? Please do share!)
I had a very happy week with having some meat, yeah!
I haven't had spaghetti in a while, and had a very good version on Friday night!
Also, I made meat strips with an au jus, which we served over a flavored masa. Picture serving it over mashed potatoes. It's kind of similar to that, texture-wise.
The meat was extremely tasty. We asked ourselves if we'd just missed meat, and decided that, while that's true, it was actually very good.
I'm thawing a 3 lb. roast as we speak. It doesn't yield 3 lbs. of meat, but it yields meat for us, and some for the critters, if you work it up, which we will.
I am dreaming of our Asian noodle dish, and strips with onions seasoned to eat with tortillas.
Actually, I'm also dreaming of burgers, another pasta dish, and all kinds of tasty meals! We will space out the meat, so that we have it for longer, but that doesn't mean that I can't plan!
I'll probably have the Asian dish first, because without a 'fridge, I can't keep produce for too long, so I'll want to use most of the produce.
It will be ground meat with onion, celery, and garlic. Then, broccoli florets, or not, finely cut greens, ginger, and...I think that's all. I may remember something later. Anyway, then add pad Thai noodles and slowly add liquid until cooked.
I never got a response to my Sun Butter email. I may have to write to them again.
How was your food week?
