We had an avocado tree in the front yard so I'm thinking it was one off that tree. It produced a lot so I was hooked.
I like a lot of different fixins in tacos. Taco Bell in CA surpases TB in Texas. This is a TexMex state. Velveeta Cheese poured on everything.
A go for Mexican restaurants for good food. Unfortunately the local Mexican restaurant has a new cook so - yep TexMex, sigh!
I use to go to TJ and eat down there.... in the late 60's & 70's. Had to be careful though or you might get dog. They used salsa more than avocados.
So I buy Taco Bell mix lol and use it with gd beef. If I do shredded Chicken or pork & add avocado on then and salsa and whatever.
But tacos are always in corn tortillas.
I put avocado on everything and n everything but soup and stews.
When I go to Subway I add avocado with all my subs except Meatball. lol And I never toast any. But roast beef, Italian, etc. etc.
I eat Avocado toast when ever I have any A's in the house. Salads - not potato salad or coleslaw, but everything else.
With CHili, as a dip, in Omelettes, scrambled eggs, on burgers, with chicken, with steak, baked beans, hotdogs, burgers, etc. THe list is endless.
But if you want a list of ingredients it starts with Gd beef and TB seasonings packet, I like chopped lettuce, Diced tomatoes, grated cheddar, avocado dip or smashed avocado and Tabasco. The taco has to be crisp. and no onions on my tacos.
Now when it comes to Enchiladas and Burritos they are a whole different story. LOL
