I make spagetti sauce in my cast iron
I don't do it often... but sometimes I cook up ground beef then add the onions tomatoes, etc. I use tomato paste instead of sauce... but again I don't cut tomatoes all time in my cast iron. Plus I usually make sure to remove the coating at least once a month and recoat it with fresh oil. As for diced tomatoes - eh, not a big deal if you have other veggies and pasta in the pot. Or rice. I think it's when you use a lot of tomato sauce that you need to be careful and clean your pan well then recoat. Enjoy!
