So we stopped at the veggie stand first and I bought a lot of fruit & veggies and paid under 17$ for all of it. Here's what I bought:
3 greenish bananas a tot of $0,61
4 lemons $1.00
4 limes $1.00
Large garlic bulb $0.78
A container of strawberries $1.50
Mushrooms 8oz $2.10
Celery $1.75
Romaine 2 $2.50 (1.25 ea)
Avocados x 3 $1.86 $0.62 ea
Large tomatoes 2 $1.63
Roma Tomatoes 10 $2.08
She didn't charge me for the cilantro
I then went to the market across the street
and bought:
2 packs of Black tea by Liptons 3.78
1 small jar med salas 3.29
1 Reeses PNB sticks 1.95
1 tortilla chips 2.29
1 pack OMeyer sliced ham 5.09
1 kraft swiss cheese slices 4.78
1 Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls 2.99
2 cucumbers 1.58
and 2 chicken broth $6.18
This store is expensive. But it's 15 minutes away so we all pay the price for convenience as the next closets stores are 45 to an hr away.
I boiled 6 eggs and will make potato salad tomorrow.
And to go with my spagetti I will have roma & cucumber slices with balsamic vinegar & S&P as a side - maybe some asiago cheese toast.
Well, It's time to feed Charlie have to walk him first as sun goes down at 6:02.. days getting longer.
If I didn't have the soup my freezer would be mostly empty except for bread and 15 pounds of Jasmine rice I bought from the kids. No I do have some bags of frozen veggies -
green beans, asparagus, peas, b sprouts, 3 ears of corn & niblets. So most of that will be eaten by end of month more or less.
Till next time. 8-)
