SB's Opp was back in the line-up, didn't change things, as the beach block was all over Gruening, not sure though if he was 100%

McLaughlin subdued, never seen that like must have taken a tranquelizer. called 1, maybe 2 timeouts the entire match.

bit of a scary moment early 3rd set, Kandev came down gingerly and seemed to maybe twist his left knee, left and never came back in, working on the leg. really hope he's ok and can recover, seems he's been fighting leg issues each year. he was definitely off before that with some unforced errors.

Skyler was dynamic, no errors, some unworldly sets, great saves, got an ace the 2nd point of the match

I think Island should start

1st set was the best I've seen all year aside from a couple hitting errors by Kandev and Herschy, only one service error and the team serving had SB off the net and facing a wall up front. totally dominant.

and then...tailed off again.

Pazanti and Gajek come in on a double switch each first two sets, seems to work well and brings some energy; only mid 2nd set thru 3rd team had FOUR flipping back row attacks over the line partially sets from Jake too far in front of the line. just have to clean that stuff up. and back up on the SEs 2nd and 3rd sets. 1 SE is like impossible to expect, if they can only dial down a couple each set...

sets to the middles were great today.

still crushed SB, Cryst with a walk off ace to end the match.

Gajek had two aces good to see.

beat Irvine once and will have the #2 seed for the BWCT. still hoping to get another shot at Hawaii.

the team chemistry seemed great, I like MacRae staying out of the huddle and MacKay doing more talking. MacRae scored a point pointing out a SB rotation error and the ref called it on the next point, lol, bringing McLaughlin off the bench is dismay.

Beat Irvine next week, and we could be facing Irvine 3 straight games lol. now waxing them 3 straight times
