it's been pretty clear Herschy is the prime Opp ever since the end of the Canadian tournament. So he has been the top pick.

Gajek has come in to sub, but I don't think Gajek playing vs. Vanguard changes anything in the status quo. just giving Gajek reps that he needs more than Herschy. It's hard to quibble with how MacRae is handling it. do these kids ego really need 'the starting QB to be announced' and don't have the maturity to handle it?

Pruitt had an altercation with a stingray last week. He shouldn't have played then actually.

I think MacRae should just pick one as the primary oppo, and make them deal with it, rather than trying to appease both players and failing to so with both. I would have preferred Gajek to begin with, because he's got a higher ceiling and because Daniil is more suited temperament wise to sub in. But it's too late for all that imo because they die has been cast.

I think Herschy will be back vs. UCLA, and IMO Herschy is overall more sound. Gajek has a high ceiling, may need him and somehow get Gajek to be able to serve as a sub.

UCLA could get ugly, they are so good with Rowan, but we can hang them, I think Beach is unique in having a lot of service pressue and a good block and Larson. it'll be tough

I was surprised Pruitt did not play at all, like that was a match to give him some reps.

starting to get a bit concerned with Varga's serve, he's tapered off a bit since his hot start

now for the big test next week. they have to reduce a few service errors, and maintain the pressue.
