I suspect he'll play. Then it's Vanguard so not the greatest challenge.
I do not think it's just Gajek. there's no getting around that if MacRae does things as good as Knipe did, he'll still not have the 'gravitas' that Knipe had. so whatever decisions he does do are always going to have more scrutiny, fairly or unfairly.
the other thing is MacRae, to me, can come off too 'forumla' or 'syrupy' with overduing the culture thing. Personally I hope he puts a lid on the 'culture' thing. It's never something you can go on and on about it. People know it when it's there. how he motivates we just have to see, and especially with a player that visable shows frustration. A coach just has to let a player vent to some degree. TJ had frowning expression a lot, and as freshman probably not the best dyanmic, but as a senior it's like, 'that's TJ'. Does he use Gajek as a serving sub, in theory he's got a great serve, so far in that role he can't get a serve in.
The team is not as deep as last year, so they need Gajek to be ready. What I've seen of Gajek is a wicked serve and can hit some eye-popping balls, but he's got to dig balls, be in position blocking. A lot to learn.
Also, wondering if Miles Jordan will get more time, and tonight, great potential

How McRae, being a 1st year HC, handles the Gajek situation will be interesting. I might be overblowing this but whatever happens could affect the rest of the team.
