I would not say what level those teams are at. Poly has zilch inside. I think those two games will be a real bellwhether for how Acker has assembled and then taught / developed this squad. Poly is playing a numbers game with their style, run n 'gun (launch 3s) outscore the opponent on 3s, and then try to limit damage elsewhere.
I though UCSD played very well, they are good, perhaps the assstant was a big part of their success cause they have reloaded and played with a similar efficient style and a couple impactful big men.

Anything conclusive from this information? Probably not yet, but hiring a head coach from the D2 level with good experience seems to have worked out for CSUN, CP, and UCR. All 3 coaches have tons of experience putting together rosters annually with a lot of turnover and getting them to play as a team right away. You need that type of skill in today's game for low major schools. You're going to lose your best players to the portal but you simply have to find players who can adapt to new situations rapidly. UCR brought in 13 transfers this year (sound familiar) and yet Gus Argenal has them playing as a team.
