Sounds like this is the "new" CSU...delay hires. The last two AD's were preceded by one year interims...Cindy and Ted. Now looking at a six-12 months delay for a new President? A President that among other things has a critical path of restoring alumni, donors and the community. We know that under the last admin, an exodus of alumni and donor base occurred. Those that of us that are boomers are aging out and have discretionary income. With a dynamic President (Maxxson and Alexander) a restoration of reputation and revenues could occur. The clock keeps ticking.

7 months is not enough time to hire a new president? Maybe Janey should have announced her intentions to retire at the beginning of last semester, not at the end of November 2024.
This also says something about the status of LBSU. Prior to Janey, all we hired were sitting presidents of decent universities. Now, we have to beg quality people. The pay is not great (comparitively) but it's not bad. The new president will make close to $500,000 if not exceed that amount. You can't use cost of living as an excuse. A house and car allowance comes with the package. Based on what was said today at the CSU meeting, it wouldn't surprise me if we didn't get a new president in place until the beginning 2026-27 school year. Previous Message
totally inept planning - and we'll get to hear more useless musings from Jane
her CSU bud appointed her asPresident to the job, that should have been retiring, 10 years ago.
the CSU is punting for whatever reason, it's a daunting job because all the candidates probably know how f'd up in leadership and trite Jane was.
so the 3 amigos keep marching with a massive void and being obtuse to doing anything but marking time. means another year will pass with no leadership.
what a joke Previous Message
JCP will be president through August, then an interim will be named for a period of time. You can presume their top candidates dropped out during the current search. I guess Dr. Gunn wasn't in the running after all.
