I agree it is sad and really hard to believe that it has come to this - college athletics is pro sports at the highest level. Hard to compete when a college athletic program has to now compete with a pro franchise.

I hate to say this but LBSU will have to cut some programs to allocate more money to the priority sports. Not sure which ones and how many can be cut and still be D1 compliant but somethings needs to be done. I would like to see the AD address the LBSU community at large and give them some info on how the department plans on competing in this environment. Not just speeches to a small group of donors. Need to expand the pool and only giving info to select few will not do that.

I sure hope that the AD understands that volleyball is a staple in Long Beach. The SDSU way is not necessarily the LBSU way.
