lol, why do so many people give a rats arse about Cal Baptist, are they planning to become supporters?
will it add value (i.e. $$$) to the Big West instead of dilution?
does the Big West need two teams in the inland emprire? sheesh!
it makes no sense to me. I don't CARE they have a nice arena, I sure as heck am not going to any games there.

just makes no sense, people think they are well run, but so what? Big West teams have to better their own Big West teams. adding Cal Baptist does not do that.
I think part of this is the commish just making 'numbers' to save and protect his own job, that is what commish'es do.
Utah Valley is a different story. it makes sense in the type of institution, the location, competent programs, it can add VALUE
what in hades am I missing. the ADs and Presidents should say NO to Cal Baptist, as well they dropped the best Big West sport, MVB
MAYBE, if Cal Baptist resurrected MVB, then it might be ONE reason. but then the idiot PResidents let Bake drop Big West sports when joining the Big West, embarrassing move.

Big West presidents are voting this Friday whether to invite Utah Valley and Cal Baptist to the conference starting with the 2026 season. Reports are that Big West officials recently visited both schools. This appears to improve the mens college basketball ratings for the conference. Utah Valley is currently in 1st place in the WAC, ahead of Grand Canyon. Cal Baptist also has a solid program. The Cal State schools better start growing their NIL budget or they will be behind them and the UC schools.
