#1 we need an athletic wing who can get to the hoop and who can guard. that's the most glaring hole on offense and on defense. think about it, we don't have a single player that has game to have replaced AT, Jones, & AJ. 3 players, and not one player with a game close to any of those 3.
#2: need a big to replace/improve for JOhnson
#3: point guard or back-up point guard. that assumes Martin and Hart return. If Martin doesn't return the point guard need maybe moves up to co #1.
for this year though, we don't have a player to prevent doubles on Askew and don't have a defensive stopper. If AT type player was added to this team, this team is upper tier in the Big West

Here's a list of all the guys who have eligibility for 25-26, plus the two new high school players who have signed. From my perspective, the only guys I would invite back are Hart, Lewis, Wainwright, Martin, Nagy, Xzavierro, and Richardson. That's 7 plus the 2 incoming freshman, Sykes and Washington. That leaves 6 roster spots open, assuming all 7 return (which is hardly a sure thing). What strategy will Acker use to round out the roster next season? Try to get experienced players through the portal, hit JUCO's hard, recruit more high school players or a little of each? What Acker does this off season will be big.
