Poly lost to Davis & Hawaii at home, but beat Irvin e & SB on the road
We lost to Haw & Irvine at home, but beat Davis on the road. now 1-2 at home, 5-0 on the road.
the home court has not been kind for most of the top teams so far.
UCI followed up their 5th set comeback over us with a loss to San Diego. Hawaii got swept by UCSB after their sweep over Poly. Robyn read them the entire riot act after the match. The Poly match on Thursday is now a must win. Poly serves tough so we need to work on service receive all week. No more shanks!
comments of the day;year from the players. "We shouldn't be dissapointed by last night" & "We played good volleyball"
OMG! huh?! you've got to be kidding me. not dissapointed? just can't understand the mentality at all. probably a me issue.
I know maybe there can be context, but wow. if those comments represnet where how the team approaches sport, just do not know what to say
if the coach and players think beating Fullerton prepped this team or indicated anything, yikes
we'll see this week how tested and improved they can actually be. gonna have to do it on the court.
the next week determines if they can win the conference title, it's put up or shut up time basically for this team come Thursday. shanking receptions has to be unacceptable, not acceptable. Their opponent will be the hardest hitting team and out for blood. they will serve hard floats. can't be shrinking violets
no line up changes
a win
not sure what it proves. please spare us the "I liked the way they responded" line. jeez, it was a JV opponent today. but they'll be polite about it
BG did the same, not really changing line-ups for sure wins
still, guess Natalie thinks same ole same ole will produce different results the next time this team is actually stressed by an opponent.
based on what we've seen it's hard to imagine receiving is gonna get any or much better though
a win is always nice, Fullerton no offense is a very bad D1 team. 1st home win in conference, got to start somewhere
