RE: Thank you for your answer and suggestions. I did go into Google Earth and am almost sure I have found the site of those barracks/apartments. It is off Powder Mill Rd, on Edmonson Rd, near the USDA Agricultural center. The wells----They were deep and had water in the bottom. They were open holes and they were all over that field !It was very strange. If my parents had known that my cousin and I "explored" them, oh my ! Another thing of interest was a large "chimney" type structure with remains of burned movie reels. The reels looked like military training of some kind. There were hundreds of them around the chimney tower and in the large building. While viewing it on Google Earth, I notice a tan cleared area behind this housing that is most likely the spot where the chimney stood. Is it my imagination that it looks like a gray area where that chimney stood ? That was a long time ago and perhaps my imagination is running wild. HA Again, I thank you for your help. I am going to the site you found to see if we are looking at the same place. I have always wondered about this strange place. I want to go back someday.
