Coach Saban has complained about lineman going too far past the line of scrimmage on pass plays for several years and he has a valid point on this issue. 3 yards downfield on a pass should not be allowed. If the outside linebacker has a "read" on the offensive tackle and that tackle fires out three yards to block, then his ligit response is to come up for a run. I mean it can't be a pass if the O line is blocking downfield. The rule should be changed back to not past the Line of scrimmage at all, no shady areas then.
