Idle speculation on my part about the three yard interpretation on a lineman downfield on a pass play. So, if the QB's trail big toe is breaking the plane of the downfield side of imaginary plane of the line of scrimmage, does that same rule apply to the offensive lineman down field? Of course this could actually put his leading big toe more like four to four and a half yards down field. I realize that strict "nothing past the line of scrimmage" will still allow the OL to fire out (somewhat) on a play action pass if the interpretation of "what" downfield is consistent in both instances....murkey turkey!
