The MC stayed double track to around 1970. The signaling was ABS Directional Current of Traffic. The MC used small targets under the block signals for "take siding" signals although if this is facing westward climbing Miller Hill, I don't know of any siding ahead except maybe Lawton.
There was a similar signal at Comstock facing westward to tell freights to take siding on the long pass at Botsford.
I believe the aspect was flashing yellow
