Asking for help is a dangerous habit that should be forgotten. The umpire being asked for help will immediately feel that the umpire that made the call has doubts, and will likely overturn them. Good times to ask for help is after umpire A has made his call firmly, ask if the first baseman kept his foot on the bag. Simple yes or no. If yes, runner out. If no, runner safe. DO NOT have a meeting to discuss whether the runner was there or not. The only thing the B/C/D umpires have the ability to see is simple things like that, not whether the tag at home was applied before a 'hook' sliding runner touched the plate.
