Last night I indulged in chocolate covered pretzel bits. Also lots of sliced swiss or cheddar on saltines. I love cheese on saltine crackers.
That was for both lunch & dinner. lol
Last week I bought a 6 count of hard boiled fresh eggs. Lately I haven't been time free so that was great.
Today more avocado toast for breakfast, lunch 2 BLTs on Whole grain toast. Very good and I was very very hungry as I had really labored yesterday.
Not so much labor today, though lots of laps. I also discovered I had nightmares that were real in that I dreampt I had pressed my skull against the headboard of my queen sized bed and ended up with a crease in my skull. I felt it when I woke up. Totally bizarre. I will call the dr's ofc tomorrow to get an appointment. Since I finally have my medicare squared away and still have medical. I just have to pay co-pays and other costs. my Rx's are free and my appointments except for specialists. Anyway, I can't wait to hear what she says about my swollen neck. Which is related to the pain.
Anyway I wanted to say that for the first time in many months I was able to sit on my front porch and revel in the warm sunlight as well as enjoy the soft breeze, the Woodpeckers love tapping and glorious quiet. I had two flutes of Pinot Grigio - White wine. Yummy - been a long time and tasted so good drinking it in the sunshine.
Sometimes it is not quiet here. Too many cars and truck racing u and down the hill. But the quiet was so total that I was able to enjoy the sound of the Oaks and Cedars as the breeze had them dancing. The sun was shining from the west and on to my lap. Oh glorious. It has been many months of cold. Thank goodness The Equinox is just a few weeks ahead.
The well guys will be back soon to reattach the long pipe that broke to the well. It froze yesterday morning and we all wanted to make sure all the ice chances where GONE!
It's funny how living in the south makes winter so much more of a threat then living in the North in MN,so close to Canada. The power never went out. We always had heat. And Texas is a straight drop from the North Pole, more or less.
The sunlight through the tress in my neighbors yard is exquisite. The trees are works of art and so beautiful. They sway and dance in the wind. Birdsong of a number of birds float on the wind and cause my skin to tingle with the beautiful sounds.
I love morning better, the sun is usually golden, or red. While in the afternoons or evenings the sun is orange or a very bright clear white.
I heard the ISS passed overhead last night about 7pm. Without my sky app and my bird ID app and others I use regularly, I missed seeing the shuttle. I also haven't been able to ID a few new calls I have heard early in the morning.
The squirrels and all the son birds have been out eating the seed I have tossed out every day. The squirrels actually were grabbing in the shell peanuts and burying them all over my back yard. I love watching all my critters adapt to different winter types.
Tonight I am planning to cook boneless and skinless chicken breast in BBQ sauce and have Fried Zucchini chips and mashed potatoes or Asparagus spears for dinner.
I have a number of berry waffles, but want to make some blueberry and cinnamon pancakes for the freezer.
