It's been a time of solution thinking here, too, for me. More for solutions to project issues, but still...! I guess that it's just good that we can.
Those sound good, and remind me that I wanted to add something to my tilapia post: Full disclosure is that my method was on *unbreaded* fish. When I coat fish...though not tilapia, I try not to de-crisp my coating by putting the lemon on in the pan. I do put it on the unbreaded tilapia in the pan, as stated in the other post.
With breaded fish, such as halibut cut into fish sticks, coated, and cooked in a pan, I try to get it very crisp, and will put them in a low oven afterwards, to maintain that crispiness while finishing the next batch. Then, I serve lemon wedges for people to use on their plates.
That's so funny. I've been eating oatmeal-raisin cookies each day, too! In fact, I have only 1 cookie left, so need to make more, or be without.
I'm glad that it's helping you to get back to a schedule that you prefer.
That makes sense about the cooking of the pasta. There's very little that I like less, of foods that I eat, than over-cooked pasta...yuck! Good idea!
I heard an Italian chef talking about pasta. He said that his mother...when he was growing up in Italy, never threw away pasta water. She used it in various meals...he did not get specific, then on the 2nd day or so, she used it and made it an ingredient in soups that she made.
Ahhh, pickles on grilled cheese! Dh used to sometimes go with his mom to the Woolworth's lunch counter, and got grilled cheese. It had pickles in it, and came with French fries, and a soda.
One day, I contacted a woman who made miniature food, and asked if she would take a special order. She was a very nice woman from Sedona, Arizona. Anyway, she agreed, and made two plates of small grilled cheeses with pickles, a plate of fries, and even found mini Coke bottle to throw in. It was really nice! I don't remember the occasion...birthday? but Dh really liked them! :-)
I'm the same. When I've been deprived of something, I eat more at first, then I'm okay to eat just a piece a day, or whatever my goal is.
I don't even want to think about potato chips...I've been craving them lately. I'm wondering if it's really a craving for the salt, so have been thinking about something else which is salty that I could have. Though, even without the salt, potato chips are hard to resist, you're right!
Those are some pretty good meals that you had. Have you found any changes, such as better bs #'s with the pickles?
I've made some changes, cutting back on sugar, though not getting rid of it. I don't know if that can be affected water in my body, but I can tell that something is, because my ring is suddenly too loose, and I'm having to be careful not to have it slide off on it's own. With RA, my hands are sometimes swollen, sometimes not. But, I feel like this change is something that I'm doing.
Oh, I'm also back to drinking a daily lemonade. I came up with lemon reducing FM symptoms years ago, which could include inflammation, so maybe that's it. No idea, but I'd love to stick with whatever's making the change!
Yes, you have to be careful of bp going too low.
So, how does one get rid of the floaters, or move them? I have them, and it's increased this year.
Are you having success with your arm work? I can get some definition in my lower arms, from the elbow to the wrist, but have had no luck with my upper arms. I can't do the exercises that might help, due to my very bad neck.
I'm sorry that you can't gain the weight that you want to. I am hoping that perhaps, with the colder weather and winter diet, that you might achieve that.
Have a wonderful food week!
