The following individuals all took 3rd after losing in the round of 16.

Boys 1A 132
Serra, Connell 7 - 1
9 seed

Boys 1A 190
Bacon, Nooksack 6 - 1
1 seed, lost due to injury came back for third,
must be a story here.

Girls 1A/2B/B 110
Barajas, Royal 5 - 1
9 seed

Boys 1B/2B 120
Escalara, Onalaska 7 - 1
3 seed

Boys 1B/2B 165
Jeannerat, Chewela 7 - 1
20 seed, if that is correct, wow!

A never say quit attitude for all of you. Congrats on having one hell of a tournament.

I believe Bacon lost because of an illegal move that caused the other wrestler to run out of injury time. Should have been posted as a DQ not inj.

Also Corbin Juarez from Shadle Park (3A 157).

Andrew Vogtman from Kennewick (3A 106) almost got third the even longer way, losing 5-3 in the consolation semis (eventually taking 6th) after battling his way back from a loss in the round of 32.

That's a long day through the back door - well done to all of them.

Jeannerat then teched the guy he lost to 6-2 for 3rd. All on a bum knee that made him miss all the season making state being his 3rd real tournament back. Should had been seeded higher being a finalist his sophomore year. But was injured all junior season as well. Hell of a bounce back and refocus.
