Top team suspended for the season for behavior of one wrestler and parents. Wrestlers and parents need to realize they are part of a team and their actions may affect everyone involved with the team.

Take it for what it's worth, there is quite a bit of FB activity and plenty of it spilling over into Reddit threads.

Long story short.

One particular parent was a perpetual shit show of a nut job for several years. It finally caught up with him. His wife is on defense for him, she ain't helping....

Got some Jerry Springer shit going on in OK.

I think its fair since the suspension is only after "TWO EGREGIOUS" acts in the same season, in the same sport, and by the same school. Sounds to me like whoever this parent was that couldn't control themselves should have been addressed by the school admins and coaches after their first incident. What isn't fair is the young lady going for her 4th state title as a Senior - nothing like getting screwed in your Senior year by an adult who acts like a child and trying to live vicariously thru their kid. Shameful.

WA Coaches, admin, parents all knew of coaches parting with girls and cheerleaders, boys given alcoholic beverages, pain killers, HC and his wife and father in-law having sex with students yet WIAA did nothing, fake addresses and move-ins, and yes coaches you ALL kept this silent but acted like you were clueless.... But they were a 2A powerhouse so nothing was said. So with that said this post is irrelevant for WA and nothing would happen if this weekend played out here in WA.

The cops were involved and a massive investigation was done internally.

The lady Cerna who was going to prison died of a fentanyl overdose while in custody. She didn't flip on her husband, obviously, and everyone else must've stayed mum in the community since they didn't have enough evidence against him.

The fella lost his teaching license however based on the unprofessional conduct.

His father, the superintendent of the school, likely played a massive role in the cover-up.

"A student’s parents filed a complaint in May 2021 alleging that Johnny Cerna sent the girl sexual messages through the Snapchat instant-messaging app between October 2020 and May 2021. Along with explicit sexual comments, Johnny Cerna also sent the student a picture of a bag of cocaine, according to the OSPI document."

Yup all this and NOT a coach or administrative or parent knew anything lol Come on lol the current coaching staff knew all about it and that fake bum coach is still around that program looking for a way to start a go fund me for pain killers or how to get his dad a new "office couch" I'm sure. Pathetic group of coaches

What it really speaks to is the unwillingness of the victims to come forward in the community. Imagine trying to snitch on the seemingly most powerful people in the community.

Cerna letting his wife take the entire fall, all the way to a fentanyl overdose while in custody is all you need to know.

That's horrible but what's truely shocking me is most the staff are still there.
These Dem boys really weren't and now are moving on like nothing happened.
The optics of this was national and still keeping the same people involved.
Rule#s don't apply in the valley I guess.

From what I read online was that the a victim did come forward and report and got some $ after.
This is pretty disturbing that they would run with the same coaches and staff.
