Not sure if this a troll thread or not but we are definitely not going back. Poorly ran, no hospitality for such a long day, limited concessions. 1:30 rounds, grouchy Sunnyside coaches. We will find a different tournament for sure.

Has anybody ever wondered about the hospitality room. When did this start? I started reffing in 1981 and we had them then. Life got in the way and I stopped reffing in 1986. Why can't coaches and refs bring their own food and drink for the day? Tacoma dome does not have one, well it didn't until a few years ago. I am not trying to start an internet argument. Just wondering about the history of the hospitality room and the need thereof.

Tournaments are money makers. Less expenses equals more money. Teams are spending 400-450 for entry fees now a days. You would think you could show some sort of appreciation for coming to your tournament and spending that kind of money. I guarantee you will see these Sunnyside coaches Sunnyside coaches in the hospitality room of their next tournament a few times. Pretty sad how much appreciation is shown back. More than the hospitality room though, kids were staged and sent to their mats and waited at least an hour to wrestle. Stupid way to run a tournament

OK fair enough, today it is considered a courtesy. You host you have one, you travel you expect one. Still doesn't explain where the hospitality room started. Which wrestling icon was the great innovator of such an idea. I wonder if John Case beer or Bill the ancient coach from Bishop Blanchet, know some history about it. Which coach was tired of getting 5 or 6 local teams at his tournament? How to get teams make a long road trip for different competition? Free food and a quiet room for a quick break. It had to start somewhere and I am curious.

This tournament is terrible how can you run a tournament for over 8 hours and not have anything for coaches and reffs it’s simple have wrestling parents bring food that is how it’s done at all other tournaments if you need help ask the IKE coaches they had a good hospitality room where wrestling parents helped with the food and still had a break to make sure coaches and reffs were fed my team won’t be coming back next year what a JOKE !

Not only did they charge their own girls team to wrestle in the mix and match they also had table help put girls match for last because “they were not entertaining”! Our girls had to wait an hour because the table help decided to put the girl bouts after the boys.

Maybe you have the girls coach help out the boys coach and stick around and help out with paper work instead of the boys coach doing the girls paperwork. You should and address this to campos

My understanding is that this was a boys team fundraiser. My understanding is that the girls didn't benefit from it other than get their jvs some mat time. I am sure they were in communication about all this. At the same time, it doesn't seem right to charge the girls team that drew other girls teams to come wrestle, but maybe they need the money.

The girls team didn’t help with set up

Therefore they are just another team and should have paid.

That is so Stupid expecting the girls program to help with anything when you charged them to enter the tournament trust me you needed them more than they needed you if SS Girls did not wrestle who would the other teams girls wrestle against themselves you guys know you screwed it up but can’t admit your wrongs you guys take 9 SS coaches to Hanford and we’re well fed that’s for sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like a handford coach complaining. But maybe if the wrestlers would show up with the team instead of coming in there own cars all the weight brackets would of been done on time

I promise it's not the Hanford coaches talking. They couldn't care less about it. And it was one kid who missed the bus. Maybe your boys coaches should plan better. The whole thing was a shit show. But they do serve some bomb food at Hanford so i could see why you would think it's them lol
