Boys Fargo Standings

Well another year, much the same as every other year. With one day to go Washington Boys Standing at Fargo:
Jr FS Tied for last place
Washington - 0 Points, 0 In Semis, 1 In Blood Round
16U FS Tied for last place
Washington - 0 Points, 0 In Semis, 2 In Blood Round

At least the Girls team placed top 10 in both divisions.

That’s to be expected we shut down wrestling for almost two years and while other states shut down for less than half a year. Hopefully we will catch up in the next few years!

As a state, as the years go on, it will not improve until we get college wrestling going. The overall level of coaching in our state is not the same as these other states. Few of our programs have coaches that even wrestled in college. Our best kids rarely work together as their Dads know better and their club coach is worried they will leave. It won't be "fixed" anytime soon. Got to do the best with what we have. Girls will see a drop too. Other states are adding women's wrestling. We were great when we were one of the only states with women's wrestling.

With that, the kids that went worked their tails off and should hold their heads high. Keep working, lots of great wrestling ahead and now you know where you stand.

Idaho doesn't have college wrestling program other than NIC, but look at them....

They have the best Greco Coach in the country. They have the former Boise State Coaches Coaching and former Boise State Wrestlers Coaching. Their former college wrestling at Boise is still paying off. In fact a number of WA wrestlers coaching who stayed in Idaho after college. Congrats to Idaho.

great to see an organization all on the same page using all their resources to the best of their abilities.
Looking at some of the coaches staff that is a lot of experience there.
the results speak for themselves from the athletes, coaches and placings.
who would have thought that something that simple would be the answer.
