State focus should shift to Greco-Roman

I can't understand why we focus so much on Freestyle wrestling in Washington State. Greco Roman is far more popular among our European allies. Adversaries like Russi and Iran focus on Freestyle. We should be less like them. Also, I fell Greco is technically superior to freestyle. Thoughts?

I agree that it is a more traditional and beautiful sport than Freestyle wrestling, but Freestyle better prepares our collegian wrestlers.

Back in the day UW and OSU supported Greco Roman programs.

Minnesota emphasizes on Greco styles. That is one reason they put the most HS kids into college.

Come on over to Coeur D Alene if you want to work some greco. We old school guys like to work it in the springtime. Plus I am a former ref and can really help school the kids up on what the officials are looking for. Touché!

BOOOO!!!! GRECO SUCKS!

Wrestling is boring enough to watch for the average person. They need to get rid of that dying sport and let the real wrestlers take center stage with beach wrestling.

Boring? It is the oldest and greatest form of the sport. Cmon now. Much more violent and exciting form of wrestling. Look at the ears of greco dudes.

At lower levels can be exciting at higher levels boring.

Word is Cody and Dick are starting a new greco centric club in Liberty sort of like Suples in Boise. Should be fun to watch it grow.

They have much to offer, that is for sure. I am not sure Liberty is the ideal place to start. Smith and Garcia opened an MMA club in that area and has not taken off yet. With that said, Uncle Chael will be doing Greco sessions every third weekend of each month.
