2023 Border Wars Girls Dual Tournament, Ardmore, OK

Greetings to all Girls Coaches,
We will be hosting a Girls 2-Day, 16-Team Dual Tournament in Ardmore Oklahoma on December 29th and 30th, 2023. Ardmore, OK is located 100 miles North of Dallas and is a 90-minute drive from DFW International Airport.
Half the field will consist of top Oklahoma Teams and the other half from teams from out of state as invites have been sent out to sources in Texas, MO, Arkansas, Illinois and Indiana. Plenty of Lodging is located within 2 miles of the campus.

When: Friday & Saturday, December 29th - 30th, 2023.
Where: Ardmore High School (Main Gymnasium), 701 Veterans Blvd, Ardmore, OK 73401
Competition Level: We are looking for top Ladies Varsity teams from Oklahoma who have full lineups to take on competitive full lineup Ladies Varsity teams from out of state, those teams are TBD.
Cost: $325.00
Format: This is a 2-Day, 16-team Ladies dual team tournament, each team can bring up to 20-wrestlers to weigh-in. Each team will have the opportunity to get their Varsity wrestlers up to six matches, and if time allows, we will try to conduct exhibition matches.
There will be a morning session consisting of 8-teams and an afternoon session of 8-teams on each day of competition. Wrestling will be conducted on 4-mats and teams will be split into four 4-team pools and each team will wrestle 3 duals on both days. Day-1 round-robin matches will determine Day-2 placement pools.
Day-2 placement round matchups will have the first-place winners from each pool wrestle for 1st – 4th place; second place teams from each pool with wrestle for 5th – 8th place; third place teams from each pool will wrestle for 9th – 12th place; fourth place teams from each pool will wrestle for 13th – 16th.
In the event of a tie, NFHS tiebreaking criteria will be used to determine the winner. This will be a Trackwrestling event.
Weigh-Ins: Weigh-ins will begin at 8:30 AM for morning session teams and 1:30 PM for afternoon session teams; teams will be allowed to weigh-in up to 20 wrestlers. Check scales will be available prior to scheduled weigh-in times. The Head Official will draw the starting weight class before the start of weigh-ins and that will be the starting weight class for round one and will advance one weight class after each round of wrestling.
Awards: First Place Team will receive a Team Championship Belt as well as individual 1st Place medals for each team member. Second, Third and Fourth Place Teams will receive a Team Plaque and individual medals for each team member.
Schedule: 6-Rounds will be conducted over the 2-days of competition (round start times are subject to change).
