No disrespect to McDonald at 120, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Hoffman and Salinas final. Their District Finals match yesterday was amazing.

Laugh out loud said the east side was left out of the predictions. Thus, he thinks the east side boys were slighted, as in not given the respect they deserve. I’m curious who he thinks will win it from the east side.

No Sunnyside fan because they’re always gooood; I have no other reason to be honest. It’s why I hated the Patriots for years! Truth be told, the kids all seem good-natured and respectful. If you have a different opinion on that one, please don’t try to taint mine on this board; I can’t see any positives from doing so. ; )

Sunnyside looked very good. Especially Armendariz and Fernandez. 120 was a tough bracket and Armendariz didn’t allow a point the entire tourney while dominating. Fernandez is the returning state champ at 132 and it looks like he’s primed to repeat.

Chichenoff at 126 also won every match with ease while giving up only 1 point all day. He’s 1-1 vs Johnson with both matches tight so next weekend region 4 will be interesting at several weight classes!

I think the lists provided thus far look great btw… I simply believe that a lot of weight classes are too close to try to predict!

Your first paragraph is so far off base. Don’t be butt hurt cause those guys didn’t have an SS kid on top of the podium. They’re entitled to their opinion the same as you. No one is saying they’re not a good team, that’s obvious, they are. But it’s just a competitive year and we don’t believe a SS kid will win a title this year. Hope we’re wrong though. I reread my post looking for anything that could give the impression that I’m “butt hurt”. Couldn’t see it, sorry.

Why you’d choose to attack me and, what believe to be a benign, positive post, is sad. We tend to look for negative and overlook the positive… seems to be a growing trend these days. Please reread my post and choose to look for the positives vs whatever you found “so off off base”. In fact, I gave props to the lists offered thus far, but I think it’s likely you stopped reading the post once you somehow deemed it offensive.

No Sside Fan... typical hypocrisy at it's finest right there. I didn't read his post as attacking you. You initial post was, "please don't taint my opinion" basically...like you can't handle someone disagreeing with you. You then try and preach stay positive, have a great day and end it with a smart @ss comment. Now that's laughable.

“Please don’t taint my opinion” was only referring to my positive feedback based on my personal observations of Sunnyside’s on and off the mat this past weekend. I don’t get to watch them often. The comment had nothing to do with my opinions about the list of kids I personally feel are also deserving to be on a list.

My request was an honest attempt to keep the thread positive vs using my compliment as an opportunity to bash on Sunnyside. It seems too often one’s attempt to offer positive feedback to a team, coach, wrestler, etc is quickly turned into a negative debate about the legitimacy of the positive feedback.

You’re absolutely right, my last comment, written out of frustration, was unnecessary and not helpful. I apologize.

Pretty sure you are at every Sunnyside match and probably at most of their practices. Your posts are too near and dear to the heart. You guys are fine... just keep doing what you are doing. But I got to be honest with you. I'd rather watch your girls. They seem to be exceeding the expectations with that very young team. This won't be there this year, but they will have some good years coming up.

Not just "growing trend these days", it has been going on for years. Don't you watch the news and see how society has been the past 6-7 years? You might need to get out more and see what is happening out there. This site is mild compared to the real world.

We could have the same tournament for 3 consecutive weeks and get different champs at many weights. Very seldom is it a one man show. Now at times it is but who cares what people's predictions are. At least dont get butthurt if its different than yours. At the end of the day the person with the best tournament is going to win it. Maybe its the best wrestler, maybe its not. Either way, its gonna be good.

That is a very true statement. Some guys can win a state title on a bad day but most have to click on all cylinders for 4 matches to get it done. Not easy.

Lets get back to the fun and predict mat classic. I will start with a major upset at 138. I wouldn't sleep on pritchard with those hips. I have watched him for years, he has the ability to catch anyone.

Pritchard is certainly a good sleeper choice.

He will get a chance at Neiner at regionals this weekend.

You clearly don't know the kid with such a foolish statement.

"Disappointed" is the best way to sum up his actual response. Hence, he stayed at 152 going into districts. But feel free to continue running your suck about matters you know nothing about.
