I am annoying/what have you done for athletes after senior season

So end of season. Who is getting looks? Once again I hear we have tons of kids wrestling at next level from Washington but 20-30 kids is not a lot. I kept hearing excuses on my last statement. So Toppenish, Sunnyside, Lake Stevens, Chiawana etc all have dudes and other then just a handful of these kids where are the rest going to college. As a coach that should be the #1 aspect we look for, THE FUTURE FOR OUR ATHLETES. It doesn't even have to be college but not have them sleeping in their parents basement would be an achievement for some. Time to roll sleeves and lets get to work

The cream always rises and if a kid is good enough and is eligible I don't think a coach has to do too much for a college to take notice.

This is across all sports.

That being said Coach, what do you do to help promote or make sure your kids get the attention they deserve(beyond them winning locally and nationally of course)?

Well you are wrong only the top kids get found. Let me tell you what I have done. I have spent hundreds of hours calling colleges, coaches and doing Fafsa for kids. Especially the ones that have parents that have never been to college. Most kids do not even realize they can go to college. I have coached almost ever sport out there for over 20 years and have got hundreds of kids to college not because colleges found them but I found a college for them. Everybody that has responded to my feeds these past few months are very ignorant in how recruiting really is. I feel bad for athletes with these types of coaches but usually they were phenomenal athletes so they were found which is where the false thoughts come from

I believe UVU has a 100% acceptance rate. Good opportunity for all.
