District, Regional and State should happen. Make it happen WIAA. Be heros and finish this year on a high note.

There isn't a single sport getting a state tourney, its not getting changed for wrestling. let's just be grateful we are getting any kind of wrestling at this point

It's too bad the teacher's union has us ranked 47th in getting kids back to school....I have many, many friends who teach and most tell me the overwhelming majority "feel its not safe enough to return to school"....funny how Gov Inslee is now "ordering" schools to get back to it, but originally said it's "up to the schools for return", this gives school districts an out to slowly get back....and in my opinion, our state is out of control with the slow roll getting back to normalcy....I'm not ok with "taking what we can get" when most of the nation had a high school state wrestling tournament and the college level had a national tournament....I have 3 kids in high school, all of which are losing out on life lessons....I'm more than disappointed 😞....

Well, I guess the life lesson that your kids get to learn this year is that life is not fair.

We are all disappointed with this entire Covid thing, so I agree with Ace that this is a great lesson that life is not fair. If your kids have their health and a good home life that may be what you want them to focus on. No one person is worse off than another in this pandemic, except if they battle hunger, a safe place to live or have health issues. We all miss wrestling, sports, school, and normalcy but still grateful for what I have.

I applaud your positive outlook but in terms of athletics depending upon which states borders you reside in some wrestlers are far worse off than than those in another state. After May 1st or thereabouts most should be able to get a vaccine correct? At what point will normalcy return after that? Just watch what happens then, some will be normal others not. Depending upon your elected politicians and unelected " health officials" being willing to give up this enormous power bestowed upon them during the pandemic. Just watch...

At this point, just stop. Call it a positive outlook or not, I'm not going to feed more poison to my kid nor that of my friends kids who not only wrestle but play other sports. Stop with the politics already and just help your kids get through this as best as you can. If your statement truly reflects your outlook then I can imagine what you tell your kids or what they hear at home and I'm sure it's not helpful to their already tough situation. No one likes this Covid shit, period.

I don't understand how the numbers are going up again. With people getting the shot how are the numbers going up? It doesn't make any sense.

As viruses weaken and mutate they become more contagious for a time. The "pandemic" is essentially over. We will see an uptick in cases but nothing to worry about. As for kids, it is best to encourage them not to be a victim and to make the best of all situations. That is the best way to approach a wrestling match and the best way to approach life.

My coach always said the best way to approach a wrestling match is to control the situation and be ready to adapt. So the wrestlers who have moved out of state or traveled to find mat time are doing both. Being Pollyanna on a message board is doing neither.
