Dave Gilbertson, Washington State Wrestling is planning on hosting the first sanctioned Freestyle/Greco wrestling tournament on May 1-2 at the Angel of the Wind Arena in Everett. Registration for this event will open early next week on trackwrestling, we will be limited to 600 total people in the venue. Entry will be 1 parent per wrestler, more than likely break the event up into 3 different sessions. If your club is interested in running a table please contact Justin Newby at jnewbyusa@gmail.com. Rules are 1 person per table, also there will be no award ceremonies due to restriction. Awards will be handed out immediately following the placing match. Additional details will be coming soon, we will have to clear the arena between each session and you will only be admitted into the venue with the appropriate credentials for each session.
USMC Nationals held in Fargo, ND in July 2021. Participating at this event this season will be a little different, each state is allotted 6 wrestlers per weight class per division. WSWA only automatic qualifier will be our State Tournament held on May 1-2 in Everett, Top 3 will be guaranteed a spot. Please fill out this interest form so we can make the appropriate accommodation for lodging, transportation and coaching. This is not official registration just simply information so we can guage the number of athletes interested.
