Hard Covid facts and considerations

For all you folks talking about Covid: |
This is my personal experience and hard data from the CDC for you to consider. After looking at this data, think about what is important to you.

65-74 1.14% 2.22735%
75-84 1.45% 3.67735%
85+ 1.63% 5.30735%
We also know from recent antibody tests that many more people have been infected and recovered that is reported on top of the fact that many people haven't been tested that have been infected.
If we do accept these facts as is, the real death is much lower than the above numbers. Also consider that for younger people, the death rate is actually less than the death rate for the flu. For the same period, there were 81 flu deaths under the age of 15 which is 9 times that of Covid for that age group. The moral here is that school aged kids are more likely to die from the flu than Covid, but our schools are all shut down.
One observation is that our society is so afraid of getting sued, they will do anything to avoid it. Hundreds of hard felons were released in WA due to the fear of them getting infected. Be prepared folks, I am predicting that school this fall will be online and we will have no sports at all. For those who favor the lockdown, is this worth the loss so we can protect the elderly? Our government does everything to sacrifice the young and this is just another example.
Hospitals across the country are empty. Outside of New York, Detroit and a handful of other cities, the volumes of patients in hospitals is less than half everywhere. I have worked in 5 different hospitals in the last 2 months and have seen zero Covid cases. In fact, those same 5 hospitals have diagnosed a total of zero cases among all providers!
There is no logic to this lockdown. I can go to Costco with hundreds of people, but can't go fishing on my boat miles away from anyone else.
There is too much fear spread by the media. It is also very leftist. Any conservative viewpoints posted on YouTube is taken down. That's a fact. We live in a "Walking Dead" culture. People are so afraid of an apocalyptic event that they over-react to a modest threat. I get that fact that we didn't know much about Covid when it first appeared, but with the recent data, we should be able to adjust our behavior.
In order to get herd immunity that has been pushed since the beginning, people have to get infected. The point was never to eradicate it, it was to slow it down which has been done. Let's move ahead. For those waiting for a vaccine, that will take at least 18 months. The fastest vaccine developed took 4 years.
We need younger people in power. Biden is 77 years old, Trump is in his 70's, most in congress are old. It's all about self-preservation for them. Think of this: there are criteria that have been developed to use in case there are fewer ventilators that there are patients who need them. Things like age and dementia should be considered. In some places, the powers that be have eliminated dementia and age greater than 70 as criteria. The elderly are using their power at the expense of the youth.
Just a few things to think about folks. Digest information and real data and decide for yourselves what is important for you and your families. I choose freedom. I understand the risk of infection, but it's not worth giving up my freedom that the US constitution guarantees me.
