I believe that the eluding to special treatment per the reffing because of school, family ,ect is bs. In the VALLEY its hard not to run into a ref that isnt related or associated to a particular school or program. |
To say they do anything but a fair job is a discredit to them and the state head offical,
They are not the problem.
I watched and listen to the coaches complain on personal issues they've had with officals and other program. Its strictly personal with these individuals and since they have gotten away with it for so long its now an issue when these coaches are held to the state rules.
As a parent watching these organizations compete i will say that the lack of professionalism is rampant and wide spread.
I would ask these school AD's to come out and watch an event to see how these coaches and parents conduct themselves.
I think it would be a completely differnet outing if that happened.
As far at the lady from Granger, it is understandable the concern she had for her daughter however its is my understanding that if the athletes toes the line she is saying she is really for competition no expectations injury or not. No targeting said injuries but no special treatment.
The injured athlete had no problem attacking her opponents wrapped shoulder to win so it should have went both ways.
This was completely absurd and the cursing at the other athlete, yelling at the side of the mat was just embarrassing and uncalled for.
I understand now why the valley is looked at like it is.
The warden coach in the finals match as well walking out on the mat and screaming not yelling but screaming at the offical was just ridiculous!
It was hard to watch this behavior form school employed individuals representing said programs.
I put this on the coaches for allowing this behavior all season but with the coaches acting thw same way what can you do but watch this ugly thing unfold....
Time to clean up this behavior or clean house, after listneing to the tournament director and officals speak this wont be happening much longer... we'll see.
