02/15/26 - The Mat Classic is this weekend and I am setting up a link here you can click on to go directly to the brackets on Flowwrestling / Trackwrestling.  As you all must have realized by now, the site is in a transition period this year as I analyze the direction for the future.  I plan on having a photographer down there this weekend to get some photos of a few wrestlers, officials and coaches which I will post on the WWR Facebook page when all is done.  I will be officiating on Thursday and Friday, and will probably be down there on Saturday as well to get some photos myself.

I never say never but, this may be my last Mat Classic as an official.  I have lots of other interests and activities in life and it may be just time to step back and let the next generation know it's on them now.  I retired from my practice 4 years ago when I was still on top of my game as a doctor, and I think I probably want to go out on top of my game as an official.  I just got back from skiing 5 straight days in Utah so I am still on top of my game there too.  I have enjoyed being at the Mat Classic over the past 30 years in both a media role and as an official.  I will be in the T-Dome on Sunday as well, but not as an official or media person.  I will be there in my role as "grampa" for my grandsons, watching the next generation wrestle in the WSWA Folkstyle State Championships.

Keep an eye out for the WWN site as I am sure they will have lots of interesting coverage during the Mat Classic on their YouTube and Instagram channels.  They are the future so treat them well!
