Loyalty should work both ways.
Has the program and school been loyal to the wrestlers? Or are they simply checking the box by having a program and coach? Which begs the question: Are they taking individual athletes for granted? Have they stepped up and made a real effort for their athletes?
In the grand scheme of things, your son's high school years are going to mean much more to him, then your son having any lasting meaning to the school district.
To the school, your son is just another student athlete, just another number. Another butt in the seat for funding.
Ten years from now, it's doubtful many on the staff will even remember your kid, but your kid will remember his HS years forever.
If other aspects of your life support moving him to another program, then it's worth doing for your kid.
